Cassel Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 This year, we are going to be showcasing various celebrations. In January, the theme is NEW YEAR. Do you have some New Year's traditions? Did you celebrate it in a particular way? Did you make some resolutions? Do you have plans for the new year? Share them in pictures or in words. Add stories to those photos but you know that you can also tell stories without photos! Let's go! Post your project in the gallery.
Ann Seeber Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 This is the only forum I see where I can post my January 2023 calendar. Here's a leopard in high key mode from Clay Olds, a photographer I know on Facebook. He travels the world "shooting" wildlife and he gave me permission to use this shot. https://scrapbookcampus.com/invision/image/642-2023-jan-big-cat-calendar_600jpg/

Bonnie Ballentine Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 "insert existing attachment" takes me to the gallery. I see no way to upload from my computer.
Cassel Posted January 1, 2023 Author Posted January 1, 2023 Hum.... let me try it by using the Other Media. This SEEMS to work. Let me check further why you can't.

Ann Seeber Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Ah! Yes, it's there now on the lower left. Thanks, Cassel!! 3
Anja Pelzer Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Happy New Year to all very nice the new forum and gallery here is my layout for the challenge 5
Bonnie Ballentine Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 The "drag files" dialogue has not been there for me until now. I used "choose files". This is the only NYE layout I have done. My NYE is usually spent at home and I am in bed early. 6

Yes, it was one of those many settings in the backend that was set for admins but not for members. I could not see the difference until Ann pointed it out. ? 2

Ann Seeber Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Now I can display that calendar I attempted to post yesterday... Photo by Clay Olds. 3
Corrie Kinkel Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 In the Netherlands we have a very old tradition of baking "Oliebollen" on New Year's Eve. These are so typically Dutch that there isn't a translation for it. New-year's doughnut or Dutch doughnut comes nearest. I didn't bake them myself but bought a few at a stall in the shopping center where they are freshly baked and sometimes still warm. I cann't imagine celebrating the New Year without "oliebollen" and this tradition is as strong as ever judging at the length of the queue at the stall. 3 1
Anne Lamp Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I was trying to get this finished for Jan 1, but got busy with other stuff and just now finished it. Wishing everyone a Peaceful New Year and beyond. 4
Bonnie Ballentine Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 If 2023 is as amazing as these creations, it will be a very good year! 2
