With version X9, Corel introduced templates to its PaintShop Pro. Those templates are meant to help users create graphic projects faster. They range from social media headers to greeting cards or even to business brochures. For anyone new to the process, let's have a look at how you can use those.
This month, I am offering you to discover another plugin that might be fun to use in your projects, whether they are scrapbooking or not. As an added bonus, this is a free plugin, although, if you like it, you are encouraged to give a donation. The purpose of this plugin is to create some text with various preset "looks" that you can still customize.
Since several versions, PaintShop Pro started offering the Photo Blending option. This option can serve various purposes but mainly could be used to add or subtract elements from a particular scene. It can help you be quite creative!

A new year means another version of Paintshop Pro has been released. As for any new version, it includes some new elements, tools or functions. Let's have a look at some of the new features that were added this year.
Are you the kind of person who loves to collect fonts whenever something nice is available, just in case you might want to use it later? If so, you might have noticed that all fonts are not the same format. In fact, they come in two main types: True Type fonts (.ttf) and Open Type fonts (.otf). Truetype fonts are older and most common. They are probably the type of the majority of the fonts you have collected so far. However, we occasionally encounter a font that has intricate ligatures and we want to use that font. The problem is that those special characters are only accessible by some more expensive programs, but Paintshop Pro can't. What to do?
Building is working towards a goal. It can be building with Legos to bring the imagination to reality or a bird building a nest in preparation for its eggs. Whatever the goal is, the process of building is both enjoyable and tiresome, but in the end, it’s a very rewarding experience.

Ribbons (or tapes) are common elements in digital scrapbooking kits and layouts. If you have straight ribbons, you might want to use them in a different way, and fold them to create various elements. Folding a ribbon is more than just layering two pieces to make them "look" folded. An incorrect fold will often give an odd look, even if the viewer is not certain what is wrong. Let's see how you can fold a straight ribbon the right way.
