Thank you ever so much Annie! Your comments and wonderful pages that you create, oozes with vitality and happiness! xx
Thank you Cristina! Yes, it is a bit nippy. 🙂 Whiling away these cold winter days. Roll on Spring and Summer!
I had to use some of the old grey matter on the framing, I could see in my mind what I wanted to create, after a little thought it all came together. I used the one photo, creating two different sized frames (gold) using the selection tool. on separate layers. Selected the gold frames, expand, on a new layers.(4 frames on separate layers, 4 drop shadows on separate layers) Used the eraser tool, to erase some of the frames, and the selection tool to remove the rest of the photo. Mask and blend mode on the left butterfly, original photo for the background, blur, opacity, and texture. Roll on Spring and Summer! We are having wind chills of -52c, now that is a bit chilly. 🙂 We haven’t had the quantity of snow that was dumped on Newfoundland though. I can give more detailed instructions if anyone is interested.
Cristina, Thank you, for you kind comments. I’m so pleased that you found the tips on facebook. Have fun! Sue x
I must say there are a lot of wonderful projects being created, they are all of great inspiration. To many to comment on each individual post, so I’ll say well done to one and all. Keep up the great work, and creativity.
Here are a few projects that I’ve created this past week or so. Several more in the pipeline. Should any of you like to know how I achieved some of the effects, please ask, and I shall give instructions.

It was free to download yesterday in the daily gift. It’s no longer free. If you’d like to have it, to play with, you’ll have to tell me how to send it to you. https://www.creativefabrica.com/product/play-on-2/
It’s definitely a font, actually three fronts, to be used together, one of which I have never seen before. It even has special characters in Character Map. I took a few screen shots for you to see. Once I had written the three words, in regular, dotted and shadow form, I used the object, align centre tool. A tutorial would be useful.
I slept on it last night. I worked out how to use this font. I created a word, kept the setting the same repeated the word using the other two matching fonts. Centred the words, so they were on top of each other, converted to rasters. Using the lock tool, I could then change the colours. Once I was happy with it, I merged visible.
I’m not a collector of fonts. I may have 50-70 that I have caught my eye over the years, and downloaded. This font is on creativefabrica, it’s free for another 16hrs, in the daily gift. I thought it would be nice to use in one of granddaughter’s cards. I have no idea how to use it. I’d appreciate your help. Sue

Are we playing the game correctly? I thought we had to use the last two letters of a word, using them as the first two letters in a new word.

Mammoth.
EASIES It isn’t! The more letters the first word has in it the greater number of words can be found in it.

I used some of my favourite photos. Carole made is very easy and ever so quick with the masks. The hardest part was choosing the photos. Thank you Carole for the template.
Thank you Cristina for your very kind comment. I had noticed prior to posting on this site. I did amend the error, silly me, I then posted the misspelt one. x
I don’t come here daily, but when I do, and scroll through the pages, I’m in awe at the wonderful work you have all created. well done everyone. I’ve been working on ecards. I’m not one for using lots of elements. As I like the focus to remain on my photos, I think I’ve achieved both in these projects. I bought some holly in a florist, and stuck pieces in the trees, close to where the bird food is. I have peanut butter spread on the tree trucks, which the bird love, especially the woodpeckers. The second card is of a Junco, which are grey sparrows, and the third one is of a Sharp Tailed hawk. The elements came from Tattys thingies. The background papers, borders, masks are all my own. Frames are fonts.
Thank you Carole! I have to give you the credit for most of what I know, as your vast knowledge of the program has taught me so much.
December freebie challenge. Christmas ecard. Sorry Carole, but I changed the colours, using the colour replacer tool, then adding the bell tubes again. The gold frame is a font. For my project I thought the colours weren’t matching. I used elements from Tatties, as I don’t have much in the way of a collection of elements, not yet anyway! The photo is one I took the other day of our resident Sharp tailed Hawk. He dines on the copious amount of house sparrows that we have here.
Thank you Cristina, I know exactly what you mean! x
Good morning Michele, thank you. xx
