Carole, I have the script PaletteMaker. But I wonder why the color depth of the photo is reduced in the first place. The colors in the palette are no longer as bright.October 10, 2022 at 1:16 pm #84303
In order to identify specific colors to make a palette, it is the simplest way to select a finite number of colors. If all the gradients and shades of colors were still part of the image, it would be impossible for the script to know how to pick 8 colors that are not 8 shades of the same color.
This script was a tweak on a script that came with PSP, where it would create a color palette to be used in the swatches.October 10, 2022 at 1:51 pm #84307
Ok, thank you for the explanation 🙂October 10, 2022 at 2:11 pm #84308
In the Lab at Experimentals, I’ve seen the Color Seeds images, a photo and below or next to it a color palette from the photo. I also think that’s a nice way to show a photo. Would it be nice to make such a script, where at the bottom or next to the chosen photo, you can choose a number of colors with the color dropper that the palette makes under or next to the photo?October 10, 2022 at 2:28 pm #84309
Marie-Claire, it can surely be done, fairly easily too, using a similar process as for the Palette Maker script.
On my to-do list!October 10, 2022 at 3:21 pm #84316

Thanks to Marie-Claire, I had a “quick” script to fall back on, when I realized that the “new” script I had done earlier this week, was something I had already done!October 14, 2022 at 8:51 pm #84512
