Corrie, that is a good question. As you say, if you were to make a traditional paper scrapbook page, you would not care about the light from the photo. The reason is that on a page, we see that the photo is a photo and not an element. It would be different if you were to cut out the flower and use it separately AS an element. Then, you would want to have it with the light coming from a consistent direction with the other shadows.
