Let’s make things a little fun for you. Are you looking for ways to spark your creativity and still create something meaningful? This will be a new monthly challenge for you. Every month, you will be given instructions to use 1, 2 and 3 of something. Would that be more than you usually use? or less? Let’s see.

      Create a layout using :

      • 1 Button
      • 2 Words title
      • 3 Eyelets

As for the other elements, you can have any number of them. You can have photos, papers, flowers, mats, etc.

      Are you up to it?

        Hi, Cassel and everyone!

This is my contribution to the 1 Button, 2 Words title and 3 Eyelets Challenge.

For the title I used Cassel’s Powder Texture Alpha freebie. I colorized a bit because I thought it could look like flour. Maybe try something different next time.

The button and string (Let’s eat!) were made following Cassel’s tutorial. I love these tutorials! The idea of using the button as an “O” I took from your tutorial Start Here-Concentration.

Cassel, I would appreciate if you have any criticism, so I can improve.

Christina that is very nice, love the idea of using the button for the O.

This is my attempt at the challenge. I wanted to use the button to mark the spot on the map but it was too small to read the “I Was Here” so I enlarged it and used the arrow.

Here is my go at this challenge. These are images of our citrus bushes in bloom at this moment in time and they have never had so much blossom on them as they have this year. I have picked the lemons and going to make a cake with them. They have been inside all winter to protect them from the cold. I thought I would share the images but unfortunately I can’t give you a share in the very fragrant and delightful perfume we are experiencing at the moment.

I used one of Cassel’s scripts to make a template as a staring point ( brilliant)and used open as a layer and clip to it scripts too. I made the background papers and messed around with the templates (stars and flowers). The button and eyelets were tubes that possibly came with PSP. Still trying to get the shadowing looking acceptable but I do have it all going in the same direction so that’s a start. Anyway, TFL.

Wow! i thought i was subscribed to this thread but i guess i was not, so i didn’t get notifications of your posting those fun projects! Nice to see!

Cristina, did you use the flour texture or the cloud one? Since the image is a bit small, i am not sure although it LOOKS like clouds.

Marlene, it is funny how your use of the 3 eyelets remind me of one page i made using something quite similar:

I guess, if i added one button, it would fit this challenge (and that is totally coincidental!)

Sheila, your background papers are great! I hope you keep a full size copy to use later, in other projects! You can build your own library of papers and elements that way!

I like the challenges because we have the opportunity to see all these great templates.

Marlene, this lake must be beautiful. Sheila, unbelievable the blossons, and I can only imagine how good will this cake taste.

Cassel, I used the Powder Texture Alpha and it is great… just the colarize is what I could use a different color.

Thank you Cassel and Christina. There are some great things being produced and lovely to see peeps being busy and making art. Christina, the cake didn’t last long and was yummy, oh so yummy. Must get back to the diet which has all but gone to pot.

Cristina Lake Argyle is one of those “bucket-list” places to go to, it was made when the dam was built. You can go on a cruise and swim at sunset, although knowing there are lots of crocodiles in the lake, some of which you can see on the cruise, gives a different meaning to swimming with nature! Fortunately these crocs are not the big dangerous salties, they are more scared of us than we are of them!

Sheila I love your colours, they really complement the photos. Isn’t it amazing how many different things we can produce using just a few items?

Sheila I agree with your comment that there is some great pages being produced.  It is a pleasure to view them all. Here is my pic of the 1-2-3April Challenge. I have in mind to create a 2 page layout with this pic on one side and another page with photos of my Mother and me to print out at some time in the future. The button on the flower could have been a bit bigger but never mind… this is it.
